Xiaomi's ecosystem of gadgets is as expansive as it gets. It spans everything from household appliances to wearables to smart home devices. Some are designed to be smart, and work within your home, while others are standalone devices that you can use without needing to be hooked up to Wi-Fi. More importantly, they are mostly affordable, though Xiaomi's latest flagship smartphone is pretty premium, but impressive.
Here are some of our favourite Xiaomi ecosystem products that we've reviewed previously that we think you must get.
Xiaomi Mijia Garment Steamer
The Xiaomi Mijia Garment Steamer heats up pretty quickly, and in about 30 seconds you're ready to go. You press the button at the handle to put out pressurised steam. There are, however, no toggles to adjust the heat, or the amount of steam. But that's fine, because you don't really need it. I tried the steamer on my cotton shirts and long sleeve shirts, and the heat was just right. It didn't wet my clothes, too.
Xiaomi Smartmi Standing Fan 3
The Xiaomi Smartmi Standing Fan 3 isn't a tower, but does a good job of moving air, and keeping me cool. It connects to an app so you can remotely control it, or you could use the bundled remote control, too. There's also a built-in 20-hour battery. It's a seriously good fan for our hot and humid climate.
Xiaomi Smart Pet Food Feeder
If you want to easily feed your pets dry food, consider the Xiaomi Smart Pet Food Feeder (S$169). It doesn't take up much space, connects to your Wi-Fi, and you can remotely dispense kibbles even when you're not at home. It makes feeding your pets dry food pretty easy, especially if you can't make it home in time to feed them.
Xiaomi Magnetic Wireless Power Bank
The Xiaomi Magnetic Wireless Power Bank (P05ZM) has a very generic name. However, it's actually made for the iPhone. Of course, you can't have Xiaomi, an Android smartphone maker, throw terms like “Apple iPhone” and “MagSafe compatible” into its product names. So here we are. The standout feature for this Xiaomi product is a dock for convenient recharging of the power bank.
Xiaomi Smart Band 7 Pro
The Xiaomi Smart Band 7 Pro is a fitness tracker with smartwatch aspirations. That means a larger screen, and swappable straps. There's also built-in GPS, which is an upgrade over the standard non-Pro version. But the usual limitations for these activity trackers apply: No app store, no calls, and no custom replies for notifications. On the bright side, it will easily last over a week on a single charge.
