5 vacuums to keep your home clean

Roidmi X300

Keeping your home clean can be easy with these handheld vacuums. Some of these vacuums not only suck well, but come with features to help you clean better. For example, an LED or laser lights on the cleaner head, or even a mop. Some are light and portable, which means you can take them anywhere. We've tested all of the vacuums below, and here they are in no particular order of preference (though we admit some partiality to the awesome Dyson V12s).

An upgrade to the 2021 Dyson V12 Detect Slim, the Dyson V12s Detect Slim improves its laser-aided Fluffy cleaning brush head. More importantly, this version adds a new wet cleaning module called the Submarine. It lets you mop up spills easily using clean water. Fantastic.

At S$268 or less, the Acerpure V1 is super cheap for a handheld cordless vacuum. It comes with a bunch of cleaner attachments, including a roller for hard floors with LED. However, there's no LCD display, nor the ability to automatically adjust suction power. Still, I can't complain at that price.

The Roidmi X300 Cordless Vacuum Cleaner looks powerful, and it is. Like most handhelds vacuum these days, the X300 features a cyclone system, as well as a large chunky battery to keep it going. Factor in the bundled accessories, which include an anti-mite mattress head, a lighted crevice tool, and a brush head for carpet and hard floors, what's not to like?

As far as vacuum cleaners go, the Acerpure V1 Lite isn't the most powerful or the most advanced. But it's definitely compact, and comes with a useful corner cleaning accessory to let you reach under your cabinets.

The Bosch Unlimited 7 ProAnimal vacuum cleaner works well for getting rid of animal fur. But not if your home has lots of carpets. That's because the floor nozzle can only be pulled backwards on carpeted floors. You can't vacuum up and down like you can on normal floors. But it works plenty fine on normal floors, and the LED lights help illuminate the loose fur you need to suck up.
