5 pocketable gadgets you can show off

BeBird M9 Pro

We've reviewed plenty of gadgets since we started Can Buy or Not, and nothing beats actually showing them off when you're out and about. After all, why bother buying all the cool toys to just keep them at home? To be fair, most of the cool stuff are probably best used at home, such as say, the Dyson V12 Detect Slim. So, instead, here are the cool pocketable gadgets you can take out and get some eyeballs.

Pocket projectors tend to be hit or miss, but the ViewSonic M1 mini Plus is a hit for sure. It's small enough to put in your pocket, but it can easily project at 854×480 resolution. With a built-in Netflix app, that means you can watch your K-dramas on the go, and enjoy the great sound from its JBL speakers. Get it from as low as S$289 when it goes on sale.

The LG Puricare Wearable Air Filter 2nd Gen features a lighter build, voice-pass through and much longer battery life. If keeping cool while wearing a mask is your thing, then this is even better than the excellent Under Armour SportsMask Featherweight. Of course, they are two very different types of masks. Wearing this out and about will get you all the looks from jealous folks wanting to be Darth Vader you.

Rock Magnetic Lightning Cable

The Rock Magnetic Light Cable has magnets spread out at intervals along its length. Using these magnets, you can uncoil as much (or as little) as you need when charging, keeping the rest in a neat bundle. Rock makes this in Lightning and USB-C versions. It's the perfect cable to draw everyone's attention as it coils perfectly.

Forget cotton buds and normal ear scrapers. The BeBird M9 Pro lets you look right into your ear canal as you scrape out tons of icky ear wax. It comes with various tools designed to help you get the best scraping experience, but be warned — they can be fragile. Two of my scraping tools broke. Sure, it may not be one of the best pocketable gadgets to use in public, but it makes for a great party trick to show everyone the inside of your ears.
