Still not done with your holiday shopping? There's just about enough time to snag some last-min gifts, especially if you're an Amazon Prime member. In fact, you can enjoy same-day delivery with Amazon Fresh, which even has a limited selection of gadgets (mostly smaller items). And if you're not yet a member, why not give the free trial a spin? Of course, physical stores are your best bet. But if you're unwilling to brave the crowds (I don't blame you, the malls are packed this year), here are five last-min gifts that will bring joy to your loved ones. Click the Amazon Fresh links if available for the most last-min buys.
Apple iPhone SE (2022)

For those who prefer a compact, one-handed smartphone experience, the iPhone SE (from S$768 for 128GB) is virtually the only choice, regardless of whether you're an Android or iOS user. The SE also retains the Touch ID button, making it the nostalgic option for iPhone users. At the same time, it does have a modern, fast processor that ensures it won't slow down anytime soon. You'll even get 5G compatibility, as well as IP67 water, and dust resistance.
Stray

If you're really leaving it to the very last minute, your best bet is to gift your loved one with a digital game. And while Elden Ring and God of War Ragnarök are my picks for action and thrills, Stray (from S$28.50) is probably the one that will appeal the most to casual- and non-gamers. It's definitely the cutest game this year, and it's short enough not to overstay its welcome. Besides, everyone loves cats, right?
Fitbit Inspire 3

Seeing as it's almost the new year, when some of us are suddenly filled with resolutions to eat well, be more active, and live healthier, a fitness tracker like the Fitbit Inspire 3 (S$128) is a thoughtful gift. It's not the cheapest entry-level model, but it offers a slick app experience, and has great battery stamina. Not to mention, if it arrives late, and fails to make the holidays, you can always repurpose it as a New Year's gift.
Apple AirPods (3rd Gen)

I'm more inclined towards the AirPods Pro personally, but some folks just can't stand in-ears. In which case, the latest AirPods (S$249) make more sense. The new version adds spatial audio, but it's also more comfortable, and offers better audio. Battery life is pretty good, though there isn't any noise cancellation due to its “open” design.
Sonos Ray

A simple soundbar upgrade will do wonders for the home movie-viewing experience. The Sonos Ray (S$469) is an excellent gift for those with limited space — even for a soundbar. It offers larger sound than its compact build suggests. And Sonos' speech enhancement feature is a lifesaver for those who struggle to hear the dialogue. Users can also add more Sonos speakers to work together with the Ray, when there's more space (and budget) in the future.
