5 great accessories for your new iPhone

Apple iPhone 14 Pro Max

So you got a fancy new iPhone 14 or Pro Max, and want to make sure it's protected. Or maybe you're looking for an easy way to charge all your devices. Fret not, because we got you covered. Here are five great accessories for your new iPhone we think you will like.

Belkin BoostCharge Pro 3-in-1 Wireless Charger with MagSafe 15W

The Belkin BoostCharge Pro 3-in-1 has a mouthful of a name, but it's a great way to charge all your devices at once. It looks stylish, and feels solid. It uses MagSafe, so your phones, watch, and even the new Apple AirPods Pro 2 will stick on with no issues. You also get the max Apple wireless charging speed of 15W, which is nice for a quick charge while you're at the desk. And yes, it also supports fast charging for the Apple Watch. We do have two complaints though — you need to use their charger (it's not USB-C), and the S$209 price is a tad high, but expected for Belkin products.

Having your phone heat up while gaming is pretty normal, but you really don't want it constantly hot. Not only is it uncomfortable to hold, the heat may cause performance issues. The Black Shark Magnetic Cooler solves this admirably, simply by sticking it on your phone. However, it requires an additional power cable.

If you're the type that wants to avoid going to an Ah Beng shop to get your screen protector installed, here's an alternative. The Belkin ScreenForce Tempered Glass Treated Protector is quite the mouthful of a name for a product, but it's easy enough you can do it yourself. It comes with a phone tray to make it easy to install, too. The screen protector comes in different sizes for the latest iPhone 14, and in two glass types, Ultra and Tempered.

Ugreen Nexode 140W Charger

I like fast chargers, and I can't lie. The Ugreen Nexode 140W Charger is kan fast (Singlish for very fast). It's also a GaNFast charger, which uses a power management integrated circuit developed by Navitas. Based on gallium nitride tech, this compact but powerful charger is easily able to juice up your laptop quickly, or split the power between its two USB-C and single USB-A ports.

The S$69 Belkin BoostCharge Magnetic Wireless Charger features 10W MagSafe charging, and two orientations. That means you can use it in portrait or landscape mode. It also clips on to your car's aircon vent, making it easy to mount without worrying about leaving sticky residue. However, it will block out most of a vent, so take heed. Another thing to note is that it comes with a USB-C to USB-C cable, which makes no sense. Most cars still use USB-A, so you'll need to scrounge up a new cable.
