With temperatures soaring all around our sunny island, you're probably all seeking relief from the heat. And while you can get gadgets to help you beat the heat, why not enjoy the bright sunlight outdoors, either taking pictures of beautiful birds, or soaring to the skies with a drone. Be sure to also drink plenty of water, cos you know, outdoors and hot sun are a surefire recipe for dehydration.
Canon EOS R3

If you're thinking of heading out to take amazing photos of birds, then the Canon EOS R3 is one to consider if you have the cash. At S$8,749 for the body only, casual photographers probably won't be getting this. Designed for professionals but also great for hardcore amateurs, this camera comes with a new nifty feature called eye control that could possibly trickle down to more affordable models in the future. Heck, this feature is really the reason why you should be getting this mirrorless beast. Be sure to also pick up a zoom lens, such as 70-200mm or longer to zoom in really close.
Oppo Find X5 Pro

If a big camera isn't what you're looking for, the Oppo Find X5 Pro lets you take great pictures too. Sporting a beautiful ceramic rear, the Oppo phone impresses with its cameras. You'll be able to take pretty darn good pictures, in daylight as well as at night. Or if you're interested in shooting video outdoors, the Find X5 Pro does that well, too.
Sony A7 IV

The Sony A7 IV is a camera that's great for both video and still images. If there's one drawback, it's that it's a bit more expensive than you'd expect. In fact, it costs more than the A7 III did at launch at S$3,599 (body only), and S$3,899 with a 28-70mm kit lens. But I daresay it's probably the best all-rounder camera you can get, and a great one to begin your photography hobby or career with. Else get the Canon above if you're feeling rich.
DJI Mini Pro 3

Sporting excellent optics, features typically found in higher-end models, and weighing less than 249g, the DJI Mini Pro 3 is everything you need in a compact drone. The Pro 3 impressed me, and it's definitely worth getting one for your next holiday trip. Or heck, you can still legally fly it in Singapore without having to register, but only at select locations, of course.
Sony LinkBuds WF-L900

I suppose if you really hate in-ears but want something that doesn't easily fall off, the Sony LinkBuds are exactly that. Not only do they stick on your ears like glue (not literally, please), they sound good too. The unique design also lets in ambient sound, so you can be more aware of your surroundings. Perfect for a jog, or a bike ride.
