There's been talk of the dreaded haze coming soon to Singapore. So if you want to get a head start on keeping the air in your home clean, here are some options. They range from newer models to older but still great purifiers, to personal ones for when you're out and about. To ensure that these purifiers perform, make sure to keep your windows closed so that the purifiers can work properly.
After all, there's no point if your windows are letting bad air in and your purifier isn't able to recirculate the clean air. Also consider getting an air quality monitor such as the Sensibo Elements so you know when to turn the purifiers on.
LG PuriCare AeroTower Air Purifying Fan

Much like the Dyson range of air purifier fans, the LG PuriCare AeroTower Air Purifying Fan aims to suck bad air in, clean it, and push it back out. If you are looking for a tower fan, this might not be ideal, as fan speed is relatively weak in our humid weather unless you set it at maximum. I could barely feel a breeze at medium settings from a distance of about 1.5 meters. However, it will clean your air for an area of around 76 sq m.
Steriluxe Aire Mini

If you worry about catching germs in your enclosed car space, the Steriluxe Aire Mini could be a good buy. I say could because we can't exactly test how much filtering is being done without a lab, but our normal tests show it can clean the air around it somewhat. This small purifier is meant for spaces that are 10m² or less.
Dyson Zone

The Dyson Zone is honestly an odd product. It works as both headphones and as an air purifier. It has fantastic audio quality, but also works to deliver a blast of clean purifier air to your face. This may be great for when the haze hits. Note that the visor doesn't cover or seal your mouth, which means while you're getting a stream of clean air, it doesn't quite stop germs from getting in. Or if you're contagious, it doesn't prevent you from spreading viruses, too. It will help in blocking out odours, but not the stronger ones.
TruSens Z-3000 Air Purifier

An air purifier like the TruSens Z-3000 is handy for when the haze returns. The Z-3000 cover up to 70 sq m– good enough for most living rooms. You can move the Z-3000 easily from room to room, thanks to a convenient carry handle — it weighs just 6kg. It is a tad tall, but does not take up too much space in the living room.
LG PuriCare Air Purifier Pet Mode with Clean Booster

Not only does it improve your home's air quality, the LG PuriCare Air Purifier Pet Mode with Clean Booster (AS65GDST0) is also a formidable machine to deal with loose pet hair. The PuriCare air purifier features an additional 35% coverage boost for floating pet hair when you turn on its pet mode. The LG purifier is rated for an area of around 61.2 sq m.
