Ugreen 100W DigiNest Pro GaN Charger review: Solid power

Ugreen 100W DigiNest Pro

The Ugreen 100W DigiNest Pro GaN Charger is one impressive accessory. Not only is it a GaN charger with three USB-C ports and one USB-A port, it also packs two AC sockets as well. That means you technically only need one AC socket to power your desktop PC and a single monitor, as well as all your other gadgets.

Quick specs

  • Can charge your devices, power your PC and monitor at the same time
  • 100W GaN charger
  • Ports: 3x USB-C, 1x USB-A, 2x UK power adapter ports

Design-wise, the DigiNest Pro is unlike other chargers that I've reviewed before. Instead of the usual power plug and USB port design, this Ugreen charger sports a rectangular shape. It sits nicely on the desk with all the ports facing you. It comes with a built-in 1.8M power cable so you position it nicely. At the back are two UK AC sockets. Depending on where you order the DigiNest, it will come with a different socket type. There's also a power button at the front where you can turn off the power. Note that this turns off all power including the AC sockets — there are no individual power buttons for the two sockets.

While the charger is rated at 100W, that's only if one port is being used. You can get 100W charging on the leftmost port and the one next to it. The USB-A and the USB-C next to it will only charge at 22.5W. If you're using the two leftmost USB-C ports at the same time, they switch to 65W and 30W. You can get 65W and 20W with the USB-A and the USB-C port next to it.

When using three ports, the power is split into either 45W+30W for the two leftmost USB-C ports, and 22.5W on the third. If you're using just one of the leftmost ports, it will charge at 65W, but this will also force the two rightmost ports into 5V 2.1A mode. Lastly, if you're plugging in all four ports, then it changes to 45W+30W, while the two rightmost ports are charging at 5V 2.1A. The two rear AC ports can handle up to 1,875W, so you can plug in your gaming PC with no issues. Or you can also plug in a printer, TV, monitor, desk lamp etc.

At S$110-ish, the Ugreen 100W DigiNest Pro GaN Charger is a worthy buy. It will seriously make charging your devices on your desktop a lot neater. Get it from Shopee, Lazada, Amazon, or directly from Ugreen.
