Secretlab Skins

If you have buyer's regret after ordering a new design for your Secretlab chair, the good news is Secretlab Skins will give your current one a fresh new look. Made only for the Secretlab Titan Evo 2022, Secretlab Skins is an easy way to make your old chair feel new.

Quick specs

  • 7 signature colours
  • 9 special editions
  • Engineered to fit the curves
  • SoftWeave Plus fabric

Let's start with the basics. Skins is basically two pieces of Secretlab's Softweave Plus fabric, designed to fit — and only fit — the latest Secretlab chair. One piece for the top, and another for the chair base. You can choose from a wide variety of designs, a total of 16 at launch. There are seven signature colours, from Soda Purple to the classic Arctic White. Nine other skins are special editions.

Putting on the Skin is easy. Slip the top cover over, then align the holes for the lumbar knobs, then slide the bottom under. There are two straps to help you pull it through. You'll need to release the lever to bend the seat forward, which will free up enough space for you to zip the cover up. While it's a snug fit, there are parts where it's slightly a little off. I checked with Secretlab, and it could be because this is a pre-production batch. Putting on the seat base is also similar, though there's a section where you have to slide the cover into part of the chair to keep it secure. It's all explained in the manual, of course. Simple, really.

Once on, the Skin looks exactly like a new chair. The magnetic neck pillow also works fine. This is perfect for those who want new designs every other month. And an another advantage, if your PU leather chair starts peeling, this could be a good way to cover it. Since Secretlab has yet to announce new chairs for next year, I do wonder if Secretlab Skins will be compatible with future chairs. Secretlab declined to comment when I asked. But that's fine, since I can at least keep my current chair up-to-date design-wise.

Starting from S$239, Secretlab Skins may sound expensive, but it's only a one-third the price of a new chair. It allows you to change up your design, and who knows, perhaps there will be a secondary market for used Skins, though I recommend giving it a thorough wash for sweat. Get it from Secretlab.
