The Roidmi X300 Cordless Vacuum Cleaner looks powerful, and it is. Like most handhelds vacuum these days, the X300 features a cyclone system, as well as a large chunky battery to keep it going. Factor in the bundled accessories, which include an anti-mite mattress head, a lighted crevice tool, and a brush head for carpet and hard floors, what's not to like?
Quick specs
- 207W suction power, 115,000 rpm motor
- 4,000mAh battery
- App support (but you don't need it)
- Noise rated at 73db(A) in eco mode
Besides coming with a slew of accessories, the X300 also sports an OLED display, This display tells you the current settings, as well as the number of calories you have burnt after using it. It also tells you the battery life, and if there were any errors. I did not encounter any during my tests with the vacuum, though. Suction power of the X300 is strong, it was able to pick up most of the dirt on the floor. There are three speeds, eco, standard, and boost. Battery life is rated at 90 minutes, but running it at boost will drain it in just 13 minutes. It takes about 4.5 hours to fully charge — you can swap a fresh battery in the meantime.

Tools-wise, the light crevice tool is bright enough to help you see into most tight areas, and the hard floor roller automatically lights up when it turns dark. It will also increase speeds when it detects carpets. Now, I haven't tested picking up fruit loops — because who drops that much cereal? The X300 does a good job of sucking up loose hair, cat litter pellets, and general dust. It all gets stored in the big 0.65L bin. Unlike Dyson's newer models, such as the V12, the bin doesn't have an eject mechanism. Dirt does generally fall out of the bin, though.

While great, the Roidmi isn't perfect. It's pretty heavy, especially if you're using it one-handed. I found it really tiring to clean a fan with it for 10 minutes. My wife, who's a much smaller build, also found this an issue. However, the weight does come in useful when you're using it with the extension tube to clean the floor. The balance is excellent. Startup time is also a tad laggy — it doesn't start when you turn it on. Not a biggy, though.
Retailing at S$799, the Roidmi X300 Cordless Vacuum Cleaner is priced very competitively. It comes with everything you need, including a wall-mount for charging and storage, as well as a five-year warranty. Get it from Lazada or Shopee.
