The Razer DeathAdder V3 is great for those who want an edge for FPS games. The light weight, smooth glide, ergonomic shape, and lack of RGB make it perfect for esports. If you want it wireless, then you'll have to get the Razer DeathAdder V3 Pro instead.

Unlike the more symmetrical Razer Viper V2 Pro, the DeathAdder V3 is meant for right-hand use only. There isn't a left-hand version. Weighing at just 59g, the mouse features optical switches, 8,000Hz HyperPolling, and Razer's SpeedFlex cable that doesn't get in the way. HyperPolling is Razer's tech that reduces input delay, for 0.125ms click latency. This makes it super fast, but does require CPU resources. However, during my testing with our Intel 13th-gen rig, I didn't notice any impact to performance.

This makes it technically Razer's fastest mice (in terms of input delay) as wireless HyperPolling is locked at 4,000Hz. This will significantly reduce battery life. However, it's not a concern with the wired V3. I do note that I can't really tell the difference between a normal polling rate of 1,000Hz and the higher 8,000Hz. But that's probably me not having the twitchy reflexes needed for fast FPS games such as Valorant. I loved the DeathAdder V3's control, smoothness, and accuracy, though. With the PC version of Returnal, a much higher DPI setting allowed me to quickly pivot around, and dodge attacks, or reposition.

As with almost all Razer devices, the Synapse app lets you configure the DeathAdder V3 to your liking. While you can use the button at the bottom of the mouse to toggle between your DPI settings, I prefer using the side buttons to quickly toggle between a lower DPI for precise sniping, or a higher DPI for movement. I could also comfortably use it with claw or fingertip styles. If you have a smaller hand, it may be a bit harder to grip the mouse comfortably. My wife says it's fine, but “big”– she's a fan of the Razer Pro Click Mini, though.
At S$110, the Razer DeathAdder V3 is a great FPS mouse. While targeted at esports pros, it's also perfect for FPS gamers looking for an advantage. It's light, smooth, and accurate. Get it from Shopee, Lazada, or Razer.
