If you want a water fountain for your pets with a great design, the Petkit Eversweet Gen 6 Smart Drinking Fountain is it. The latest version of Petkit's water bowl comes with tons of wireless features, doing away with wires and extra bits in your pet's water supply. It's a definite must buy for any pet owner.
Quick specs
- 304 stainless steel
- App control
- Fully sealed wireless base
The first thing you'll notice is that it looks just like Gen 3 version. It's round, and sports a shiny stainless steel bowl. While it feels like the same size, the Gen 6 has a larger capacity — from 1.35L to 1.8L. You'll also notice that there are no wires. The water pump is completely wireless. This is unlike the Gen 3, which has a wired pump. This also makes it easy to take out and clean.

Setting up the pet fountain is pretty easy. Soak the filter in water for ten minutes, then attach it to the other components and position it over the motor's blow hole. Once done, just put the bowl on the USB-powered base which then powers the motor. Unlike older models, the Gen 6 model has Bluetooth built-in, which connects to the Petkit app.

From the app, you can then set up the bowl to operate in either normal or smart mode. Smart mode turns the water fountain on for 3 minutes, and 3 minutes off. Normal keeps the water flowing at all time. I recommend leaving it at normal. Smart mode feels weird but it technically should lengthen your filter life since you're not pumping water through it constantly. The app will give you an estimate of the filter's remaining lifespan — you're supposed to change it every three months.
Retailing at S$76, the Petkit Eversweet Gen 6 Smart Drinking Fountain is a worthy buy for your pets to give them fresh moving water. The wireless components make everything easy to clean. Having no wires in the water basin also make it safer in my opinion. Get it from Lazada or Shopee. You should also pick up a set of extra filters.
