Logitech MX Master 3 review: Best work mouse yet

The Logitech MX Master 3 is one of the best mice I've ever had to use for work purposes. It features a comfortable ergonomic grip, a thumb rest, and an amazing scroll wheel. If a better mouse for work exists, I haven't found it yet. While it's a little bigger than most mice, the MX Master 3 has a comfortable heft that makes you feel in control.

The plastic build feels premium to the hand. The thumb wheel has different uses in different apps, e.g. in Photoshop, it's used to adjust brush sizes. The left and right click buttons don't need much pressure, and can be clicked whether you're a claw, fingertip or palm type of mouse user. I'm a big fan of the MagSpeed scroll, a metal scroll wheel that spins almost endlessly with a flick. If you swipe it gently, the magnet kicks in to give you little stops that you'll find in normal ratcheting scroll wheel. You can also turn this off.

The MX Master 3 tracks on almost every surface — for a lark, I decided to use it on my fabric sofa and had no issues. The mouse can also connect to three different Bluetooth devices via a button at the bottom. Because it's so versatile, it's perfect for whatever you have in mind, be it navigating your spreadsheets or photo editing.

However, the best feature is really Logitech's software called Flow, which hooks up the mouse to two different computers. You can seamlessly switch between both as long as you're on the same network. When you move the cursor to the predefined edge of the screen, your mouse automatically switches between systems. The software also lets you copy and paste files between devices, even on a Mac or PC. It's magic, and it's fantastic.

The Logitech MX Master 3 is honestly a must buy if you're looking for a mouse for work. My previous go-to was the fuss-free Microsoft Mobile 3500, but I'm a changed man having met and fallen in love with the MX Master 3. It's best paired with the MX Keys, but works fine as a standalone. You can get it from the Singapore official store ($170) on Lazada or Shopee. I've also spotted it cheaper from a local store at just S$149 on Shopee.
