If a basic gaming keyboard is what you're looking for, then the Logitech G413 TKL SE is what you need. This tenkeyless keyboard doesn't come with any fancy features, aside from white backlighting and anti-ghosting. Basic as basic is, I guess.
- Tactile switch with 50g actuation force, 1.9mm actuation distance and 4.0mm travel
- White backlighting
- USB 2.0
The G413 TLK SE comes with tactile keys, sporting 50g of actuation force. Logitech doesn't quite say which switches are these. I don't quite like the feel of them. It's a bit too soft for me, and the tactile bump doesn't quite register all the time to my fingers. But depending on your preference, this could actually be to your liking.
Because it's a basic keyboard, don't expect any fancy macros or software support. The keyboard is pretty much plug and play. You can control the backlighting via the Fn keys, or change the lighting pattern. For gaming purposes, the keyboard supports 6-key rollover, which means you can press six keys at once. My tests show it handles that fine.
Another thing going for it is that it comes with PBT keycaps, which are a lot more durable compared with ABS caps. The aluminium frame also gives it a premium feel and heft. Sadly, the adjustable feet only raises the back by a little, and the USB cable isn't detachable.
Retailing for S$99, the Logitech G413 TKL SE is as affordable as they come, especially with the Logitech branding. It does have some flaws that you can ignore if you're not too fussy. You can also pick up the full-size version for S$119. Get it from Shopee or Lazada.
