If you're fine with spending more for a great pair of gaming headphones, then the Logitech G Pro X 2 Wireless Gaming Headset is one to consider. At S$389, it's much more expensive than the first version, but makes up with a significantly longer battery life, Bluetooth, and analog (3.5mm) support. It's comfortable as heck, and the sound is excellent.
Quick specs
- Graphene 50mm driver
- Cardioid (unidirectional mic)
- Battery life up to 50 hours
- 2.4GHz Lightspeed, Bluetooth, and analog connection
Like the first version, the Pro X 2 comes with leatherette earcups, but you can switch to the included fabric one if you prefer. The 50mm graphene drivers deliver really solid sound, and the DTS virtual surround is pretty good at making the soundstage feel expansive. You can turn DTS on via the Logitech G Hub app, which is available on both Windows and macOS. I tried out the headset in Cyberpunk 2077 2.0, and really enjoyed how immersive it was. You could hear the world around you, like the bullets dinging behind you, or the clear footsteps of guards on patrol as you try sneaking by. Listening to music on the Pro X 2 was also good, with a solid bass and clear vocals.

Like the Pro X wireless, the newer model also uses a 2.4GHz Lightspeed dongle. The dongle actually has a 3.5mm jack, which means you can also plug in the provided analog cable. Otherwise, you can also use the USB-A to USB-C cable or Bluetooth. But you should use the Lightspeed dongle because these headphones can remain unplugged for days. Battery life is rated at 50 hours, up from the 20 hours of the first version. I've used it for close to two weeks on and off without having to charge yet. Even if you game eight hours a day, that's still six days before you need to charge. The range is also pretty good. I was able to get signals even at the other end of my home with no issues or dropouts. The Lightspeed dongle also works with a PS5.

As a gaming headset, one of the most important things is the microphone, and Logitech has this software called Blue Voice that enhances how you sound. You can select modes such as Broadcaster to sound more professional, or boost your voice if you're soft-spoken. It does a great job in reducing wind noise, and you will sound pretty clear. You can tweak the effects of Blue Voice in its settings. You'll sound best if you position the mic closer near your mouth, and not too far down. The Pro X 2 is also really comfortable, and you can wear it for hours without feeling tired.
The Logitech G Pro X 2 Wireless Gaming Headset is a lot more expensive compared with the original, but the latest version offers longer battery life and more features. The wide soundstage and clear audio make this a headset I want to use all the time, and the microphone is fantastic as well. Get this from Shopee or Lazada.
