Logitech G Pro X Wireless Gaming Headset review: Solid immersive sound

Logitech G Pro X Wireless Gaming Headset

As a big fan of Logitech gaming headsets and currently using the Logitech G430, I can confidently tell you the Logitech G Pro X Wireless Gaming Headset is rock solid goodness. It packs great sound, long lasting battery life and no RGB lights. Hooray!

Quick specs

  • Detachable mic
  • 20 hour battery life (at 50% volume)
  • Comes with a carrying bag

Featuring 7.1 channel surround sound powered by DTS, the Pro X Wireless' 50mm drivers delivered impressive highs and booming bass. I really enjoyed using the headphones to watch Netflix — it helps with the immersion. In Cyberpunk 2077, the headphones brought Night City to life, making you feel like you're in the middle of a bustling city (especially if you're taking your time to stroll around).

The Pro X Wireless uses a 2.4GHz Lightspeed dongle to connect to your PC, and as with Logitech's Lightspeed tech, there's barely any latency I could detect. The headphones sit comfortably on the head without feeling too tight. The leatherette memory foam ear cushions don't press in too hard, but still do a good job of providing some sound isolation. Note though, that leatherette tends to peel in our humid weather. You can swap them for the included fabric ear pads that come in the box.

Another thing to know is that the default microphone settings are a tad soft. It also doesn't handle wind from the fan well, too. You'll have to use the Logitech G Hub Gaming software to tweak it. The headphones have Logitech's Blue Voice tech, which lets you tweak how you sound. It also has pro-gamer settings, but they actually made me sound softer, probably because I don't shout like the pros while gaming. You should instead use the other presets, which allow you to boost your voice so you sound louder and clearer.

Logitech claims that the G Pro X Wireless Gaming Headset offers 20 hours of battery life at 50% volume, and my tests show that it comes close to that. Also note that it doesn't have Bluetooth, so you can't use it with your phone. Which is a pity, as these excellent headphones are worth wearing everywhere. But you'll have the most comfortable time gaming with it. It's available for S$269 on the Shopee and Lazada official Logitech stores. You can also get the wired version at S$179 officially.
