Smart home brand Eufy (of Anker fame) is the latest entrant to the rapidly-growing cordless stick vacuum cleaner business. Its Eufy HomeVac S11 Go is touted to offer 120AW (air watts) of suction power at full tilt. In comparison, the pricier Dyson Cyclone V10 is rated at 150AW. More importantly, the S11 Go is priced at S$249 or less than a third of the Dyson V10 (S$799).
Quick specs
- Max suction power: 120 air watts
- Runtime: 8 mins (max); 25 mins (standard); 40 mins (eco)
- Dust collector capacity: 0.65 litres
- Wall mount and four accessories included
At around 1.5kg, the S11 Go takes so little effort that even my eight-year-old can push it around. Of course, actually getting your kid to help with cleaning is another story. Being cordless, the S11 Go is highly manoeuvrable. The main roller brush fits easily under my furniture. It also has built-in LEDs that illuminate the underside of sofas and beds — no excuse to miss those crumbs now. Switching between the three suction power modes is as straightforward as pressing a button.
All the parts of the mostly-plastic S11 Go snap into place with ease. The dust bin can be detached for waste disposal and cleaning. Its capacity (0.65 litres) is typical for a cordless vacuum cleaner. Eufy includes four different attachments for various cleaning scenarios. But I mainly use the 2-in-1 crevice attachment to clean the walls and surfaces of cabinets and other furniture. The S11 Go and its accessories can be attached using the included wall mounting kit.
Operating at maximum power, the S11 Go can only last around eight minutes. But since my home is not carpeted, I found the standard power mode (lasting 33 minutes in my testing) to be more than adequate. I could clean the entirety of my home with time to spare. The battery can be detached from the vacuum cleaner for charging. An LED indicator tells you the charge level — it takes around 3.5 hours to fully recharge it. And while it may be useful to have a second battery, it does not come cheap at S$120.
The Eufy HomeVac S11 Go was discounted on Amazon SG (S$180, down from S$249) during Black Friday. But don't fret if you missed that — it will be part of the 12.12 sale on Lazada.
