Packing even more suction power than the excellent Dyson V12, the Dyson V15 Detect Absolute (HEPA) also comes with the laser Fuffy head to detect dirt and dust. However, the V15 still uses a trigger to start up compared with a button press of the V12. The V15 actually launched last year in other markets, but Dyson sold the V12 in Singapore with the laser Fluffy head here first.

Like the V12, the laser Fluffy head makes it easy to spot dust and dirt on the floor. Other accessories include an anti-tangle hair screw head, a motorbar cleaner head for carpets and hard floors, and a built-in crevice tool that's hidden inside the extension bar. If you order it direct from Dyson, you also get a bonus floor dock. This version of the V15 also comes in brilliantly bling gold, and has a washable HEPA filter at the rear.

The V15 comes with 230 air watts of suction power, that's 80 more than the V12. It picks up dirt and loose hair really easily. The built-in crevice tool is pretty neat, and it means a quicker way to attach the extension tube without having to remove the crevice tool first. The anti-tangle hair tool also does a great job with loose hair and pet fur. If you have pets, you may want to pick up the Pet Grooming Kit.

The Dyson V15 still uses a trigger, which means you need to hold it down to use the vacuum. I prefer the V12's button on and off, but it's down to your own personal tastes. Battery life for the V15 is rated at 60 minutes, and there's a timer on the LCD screen. It displays real time information, such as how much dust you've sucked up, power modes, and battery life. On the highest Boost mode, the vacuum managed around eight minutes of use, while on medium, you get around 39 minutes. If you use Eco mode, you can actually stretch the battery life to 76 minutes.
At S$1,349, the Dyson V15 Detect Absolute (HEPA) is the most expensive vacuum from Dyson yet. But it's a good choice for those looking for a top-of-the-line vacuum with all the attachments you'll ever need. If you want the gold-coloured version with the built-in crevice tool, you have to get it from Dyson directly. Else you can get it on Lazada or Shopee, but without the built-in tool.
