Packing powerful sound and great battery life, the Creative Muvo Go is perfect for a picnic or just playing music next to the pool while you go for a swim. At home, it's the perfect companion to enhance your phone's audio, or pair it with the Xiaomi Mi Smart Projector 2 to boost your projector's sound.

I can't help but feel the Muvo Go design somewhat resembles the JBL Flip range of portable speakers. I suppose there are really only so many ways you can design one. The Muvo Go comes in three colors: Black, green, and blue. It sports a 360-degree mesh design with the buttons on the speaker output side. That's right, the speaker's only outputs sound in one direction, despite looking like a 360-degree speaker. However, if you get two Muvo Gos, you can link them up for stereo sound.

Size-wise, it's about the same as my Thermos flask. The shape also fits in my bicycle's bottle holder. This allows me to blast awesome Chinese manyao on my rides to share the love (I kid on the blasting part). Another thing I like is that it's waterproof up to IPX7, which means it will survive rain, or a dip in the pool up to 1m for 30 minutes. Not surprisingly, there's no 3.5mm port. But unlike some other Creative products, there's no way to play music via a microSD card slot. That's not an issue to be honest. Streaming music is where we are at now, and frankly, who still has audio files on a hard disk? Not me, that's for sure.

As with Creative products, the audio is fantastic. Even at the loudest, there's no distortion. Mids and highs are good, and bass is decent. With its 20W output, the Muvo Go is capable enough to fill up a room. When you're outdoors, it packs quite a punch. I'm honestly quite impressed. Battery life is rated at 18 hours, but I've not managed to use it that long yet. I've been playing music, and watching Netflix on it for four hours without needing a charge yet.
At S$119, the Creative Muvo Go offers good sound and great battery life. It's a great competitor to JBL's Flip series, and perfect for your next picnic outing. Get it (or better yet, get two) from Creative. It's currently unavailable (at time of publishing this review) on its Lazada and Shopee stores.
