The Belkin MagSafe Continuity Camera Mount is perfect if you plan to use Apple's Continuity Camera feature. That's the feature which lets you use your iPhone as a camera for your video calls. It's actually pretty cool, but you'll need a tripod or a mount to hold your phone out. Which is where this Belkin mount comes in.
Quick specs
- MagSafe-compatible
- Designed for MacBooks
- Weight: 35g
Made of soft-touch material, the Belkin mount has two main uses. The main one is of course, to hang your iPhone at the top of your laptop's display. And it does this well. Even with a relatively heavy iPhone in a case. The mount is quite stable, and sits well. I was worried that the weight would cause the display to tilt back, but this didn't happen with my MacBook Pro 14. I also tried it on an older MacBook, and it sits fine too.

When not in use as a Continuity camera, the mount can also be used like a PopSocket grip. The metal stand flips out, and doubles as a ring grip, so you can also prop it on the desk to use as a kickstand. I like that the ring had slightly rounded edges, which didn't dig into my fingers. However on the iPhone 14 Pro Max and the iPhone 14 Plus, it's a bit too high up to use comfortably. However, it's just right for the iPhone 14 and 14 Pro.

Unlike a PopSocket, you can easily take it out when not in use. Just slide it out like you would with any MagSafe product. It's also quite secure. I tested this by vigorously shaking the phone with my finger in the mount. The iPhone stayed on without falling. So you'll be fine watching movies with this attached anywhere, really. Note that you have to take the mount out if you're planning to wirelessly charge your phone.
At S$44, the Belkin MagSafe Continuity Camera Mount isn't cheap. But I can't fault it for its quality build, and usefulness for video calls. Get it from Shopee or Amazon.
