We're staring at our screens a lot these days, no thanks to work from home and con-calls at weird times. A well-lit desk is key to reducing eye fatigue and my solution is the Baseus i-wok Series Monitor LED Screen Hanging Light. A needlessly complicated name? Yes, but it is simple to set up, and will help illuminate your desk without added glare.

The *deep breath* Baseus i-wok Series Monitor LED Screen Hanging Light (or Baseus Screen Hanging Light for short) sits on top of your monitor, using a simple metal counterweight to keep it balanced.
Plug the provided cable into a USB-A port and you're ready to go. You can also use your own USB-C to C cable if you desire. One button on the right turns the light on or off, and switches between white, mixed or warm light. Around the button is a dial, which you can use to dim the light. Easy peasy! And unless your monitor has an extremely thin bezel, the light won't get in the way of your screen.
The light comes in handy when I'm working late at night, like when I'm typing this review. I can feel that my eyes are less tired when I work with it turned on, and especially after long hours staring at the screen. The angle of the light helps light up my desktop without adding additional glare, and without shining onto the screen itself.
You can get the Baseus i-wok Series Monitor LED Screen Hanging Light at the official Baseus stores on Lazada and Shopee. It usually retails for around S$50, but I've seen it go for as low as S$30 sometimes. So if you work long hours at your screen, especially at night, this monitor light might just be a bright idea.
