If there's one thing the Acefast T8 Crystal has going for it, it's the clear transparent design. It looks similar to the Nothing ear 2, but has its own flair. By that, I mean it has a very unique-looking charging case, which uses an open design and bright LED display to show the charging level.
Quick specs
- Bluetooth 5.3 and SBC/AAC codecs
- IPX4 water resistance
- Rated for 30hrs battery life
- Silicon case and different sized ear tips
The open design for the T8 Crystal is interesting, because the earbuds sit outside, and at the sides. I was worried they would fall out, but they seem quite secure in my pocket or in the pouch. Fit-wise, the earphones are comfortable, and also come with different sizes of ear-tips. I wore them for a few hours at a time without feeling irritated. However, do note that they don't quite seal off external noise, and there's no noise cancellation.

Audio-wise, the T8 isn't the best, honestly. It's average at most, especially since the mids and highs are a bit muddy at times. On tracks with a lot going on, it can be hard to make out the vocals. Lighter music does seem clearer, and sound great. The bass is also a bit weak, and can feel like it's underpowered in bass-heavy tracks. It can also feel lost against the mids. If you press the earphones closer to your ear, it actually sounds a lot better. I don't think that's feasible, though.

The T8's microphone is actually pretty decent, and should pick up your voice even with a fan blowing at it. The touch controls are pretty easy to get used to. Tap the right side to increase the volume, the left to decrease. Double tap to play or pause. Three taps on the right to skip, three on the left to go back. Touch and hold to activate gaming mode for lower latency. Battery life was around seven hours at 100% volume. The case has enough juice for 20 or more hours.
At S$88, the Acefast T8 Crystal is priced similar to budget options such as the Creative Outlier Air V3. The audio is average, and doesn't feature noise cancelling. But it does have great battery life, meaning you can use it in the office all day long. Get it from Shopee, Lazada, or Amazon.
